Rascal Radio hosted a special event on Friday, September 6th, at 4:20 PM called the VINYL DOOM SPECIAL, featuring Brendananis Monster. Brendan joined ‘little rascal’ to showcase his rare vinyl collection, focusing on heavy underground music and we did an almost 8-hour episode! The show included powerful doom tracks and lesser-known gems, plus we went off the rails and played some classic metal, rock, and grunge tunes, and we finished the show playing the soundtrack to the cult film Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino.
This was episode #2 of the VINYL DOOM SPECIAL, and it was a ripper, we had a great time spinning vinyl, talking about the music and the bands, dropping a few event promos, shout outs, MetalAdz, and having pizza and drinks - we made a real night of it. We also threw in the occasional digital tune from Rascal Radios Aussie Doom Special Playlist, LittleRascals bandcamp collection and a few gems chosen from 666MrDoom’s Bandcamp. Plus we delved into Web3 music and played from Cactus Galactic’s Metal Web3 playlist on Sound.xyz. Right from the get-go, we had a steady and decent-sized cohort of dedicated listeners who stayed with us throughout the show, making it much more fun and worthwhile, so we look forward to doing it again.
